I enjoyed my stay at the Sunshine Business Hotel. It’s not far from the river, shopping, movies, western bars… just a few blocks walk. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and it’s just off a main drag so it’s relatively quiet compared to some of the other hotels in the area. The room was your average room, nothing special, but clean and comfortable. Good value for the money, for sure!
The breakfast buffet was a typical Chinese breakfast, but it got the job done. It’s served in the center of hotel area above the lobby (similar to an Embassy Suites in America). KTV, parking, your usual stuff. There weren’t many people staying the hotel when I was there but they were gearing up to construct an attached office tower in an adjacent lot soon; might increase the noise over the next year or so. The best thing was the front desk staff. The MODs all spoke very good English which was great for helping me solve a couple of issues. And at the end of my stay, they asked if I needed them to call me a taxi. That has never happened to me in China, and the gesture made me give them a 5 in that category!
